YETI launches performance apparel with jackets and fleece

YETI just dropped a new Performance Apparel collection with down jackets, waterproof rain jackets, fleece and merino wool layers for men and women. The new line goes beyond the brands typical the cooler and drinkware products with technical pieces for hiking, camping and everyday wear in cold or wet weather.

Prices range from $180 for the Sansaba fleece to $400 for the Tensleep down jacket. The collection is available now at YETI, with women’s sizes XS through XL and men’s sizes S through 2XL. Colors vary by style and include black, greens, blues and a light neutral.

What is in YETI’s new Performance Apparel collection?

The launch includes two hooded jackets and three layering pieces:

• Tensleep Hooded Hybrid Down Jacket, $400: Uses quick-drying ExpeDRY down and Lavalan wool insulation in different areas of the jacket to balance warmth and breathability. It also has a water-repellent finish, a stretch-woven exterior and an adjustable insulated hood. Available in men’s and women’s versions.
• Tilloo Hooded Rain Jacket, $350: A lightweight, packable three-layer waterproof shell with stretch nylon, fully taped seams and a YKK AquaGuard zipper. Its breathable membrane allows moisture vapor to escape, while an adjustable hood with a bonded brim helps shed rain. Available in men’s and women’s versions.
• Sansaba Fleece 260 Full-Zip, $180: A quick-drying midlayer made with PrimaLoft Bio fleece that uses 100% post-consumer recycled materials. Zippered pockets secure small essentials, and elastic binding finishes the cuffs and hem. It can be worn on its own or beneath a shell. Available in men’s and women’s versions.
• Caprock Merino 250 Quarter-Zip, $200: A stretchy Nuyarn merino wool layer with a waffle-knit construction designed to provide warmth while releasing excess heat and moisture. It is intended for changing temperatures throughout the year, with a quarter zipper at the neck. Available in men’s and women’s versions.
• Hueco Merino 310 Full-Zip, $280: A merino wool midlayer designed for colder conditions, with stretchy, breathable Nuyarn fabric that wicks moisture. Its full zipper makes it easy to put on or remove over a base layer as temperatures and activity levels change. Available in men’s and women’s versions.

How do YETI’s new rain and down jackets differ?

The Tensleep’s mix of insulation is one of the collection’s more interesting details. Down supplies warmth, while wool is placed in areas where the body releases more heat. YETI says that placement helps manage moisture and excess warmth during activity.

The Tensleep is water-resistant and intended for light rain or snow. For heavier rain, the Tilloo provides a waterproof outer layer and can be worn over the down jacket for additional weather protection.
