Hurts Donut is closing its store in downtown Little Rock
Hurts Donut, the over-the-top donut chain specializing in terrifyingly sugary toppings, announced Thursday that its location in downtown Little Rock is closing soon.
The news comes via Facebook, where the business posted that its final day of operation will be Oct. 8. Hurts is known for having round-the-clock hours — even cheekily claiming to be open “25/8,” whatever that means — but the final week of service will be scaled back to just 5 a.m.-11 p.m.
Despite being in walking distance from the Arkansas Times office, our editorial staff has never been crazy about the indulgent offerings at Hurts, preferring instead to get our sweet treats from Mark’s Do-Nut Shop in North Little Rock. But if you happen to count yourself among Hurts’ ardent fanbase, you won’t have to drive too far to get your fix — there’s a Hot Springs location in the works.
Hurts Donut opened in the River Market District in 2019.
