Former South Park writer creates ‘Cornell 7’ website to expose alleged gang rapists
A former South Park writer has created a website to expose the alleged Cornell gang rapists and those in the Ivy League institution who gave them “a break” – warning that “accountability is coming.”
Satirist Toby Morton, who wrote five episodes of the hit Comedy Central show between 2001 and 2003, addressed the seven frat brothers who allegedly drugged and raped a 20-year-old woman at their house in Ithaca, New York, in October 2024, in an Instagram post on Sunday.
“Hello, Matthew Ingalls, Johnathan Newell, Winston Lee, Gillio Lopes, Diego Sarabia, Scott Norris, Scott Kretzschmar,” the post begins, before Morton reveals he has created a website called “TheCornell7.org” to document their alleged crimes.
“I not only own variations of your domain names, but I now have photos,” Morton wrote. “I’m now slowly finding out where you work.”
Morton also warned that he is going after “those employed at Cornell who gave you a break, and I’m coming for them too.”
“I’ve received messages reminding me I’m not a journalist, I’m ‘just a satirist,’” he wrote.
“This is true. But this makes me more dangerous. I have no limits. No boundaries. Nobody to tell me I’ve gone too far.”
Morton’s vigilante online justice comes as prosecutors reopened an investigation into the alleged gang rape of the former Cornell student, after her lawyer filed a civil lawsuit earlier this month.
The original investigation into the alleged 2024 assault resulted in no criminal charges, but the civil complaint contains “dramatically different” allegations, Tompkins County District Attorney Matthew Van Houten told ABC News.
In her civil complaint, filed Sept. 16, the victim, only identified as Jane Doe, alleges that the seven members of Cornell’s Chi Phi fraternity drugged and sexually assaulted her at the frat house in October 2024 – and sickeningly invited other fraternity members to join the assault in a group chat.
The seven fraternity members, none of whom have been criminally charged, were given temporary suspensions and “were afforded the opportunity to mitigate their conduct by submitting essays” to the university, the complaint states.
Cornell has denied the claim.
