What Six Flags is changing after a deadly coaster fall

AUSTELL, Ga. —
Six Flags announced that seat belts will be added to the Goliath roller coaster at Six Flags Over Georgia after a man fell to his death from the ride on Oct. 12.
The Goliath, along with several other roller coasters operated by Six Flags, was shut down as an investigation into the tragic accident was carried out. Neither the company nor officials have released the official results of that investigation.
Six Flags also said seat belts would be added to two other roller coasters: the Nitro at Six Flags Great Adventure and the Raging Bull at Six Flags Great America.
Several other rides were also closed as a precaution following the accident.
Six Flags has not said if additional safety measures will be added to those rides, and the company has not yet announced when the closed coasters might reopen.
