Goose Crowder, Troy run past Southern Miss in Sun Belt opener
Goose Crowder has won plenty of games with his arm, but never has the Troy senior looked quite so efficient running the ball.
Crowder had 136 yards and two touchdowns on 13 carries at halftime as the Trojans ran through the Southern Mississippi defense almost unabated to take a 24-point lead. Troy scored on its first six possessions to defeat the Golden Eagles 55-34 in their Sun Belt Conference opener at Veterans Memorial Stadium on Tuesday night.
