Smart home cleaning technology company Narwal has introduced its Flow 2 robot vacuum in the UAE and Bahrain as part of a wider regional rollout that also includes the Freo 20 and Freo 20 Edge models.

The new lineup, launched in mid-October, incorporates Narwal’s FlowWash Mopping System, which uses continuously refreshed water during floor cleaning. The company is also introducing upgraded navigation, obstacle recognition and automated maintenance features through its latest flagship model.

The Flow 2 features a track-based mopping mechanism that applies 12N of downward pressure and uses 16 nozzles to distribute water heated to 60°C. According to Narwal, the system is designed to remove dirt from the mop during operation, reducing the transfer of used water across floor surfaces.

The device also includes a suction system rated at 31,000 Pa and a carpet detection function that raises the mop by 12mm when transitioning onto carpeted surfaces.

One of the main technological developments in the Flow 2 is its VLM OmniVision system, which combines two 1080p RGB cameras with Narwal’s NarMind Pro 2.0 autonomous system.

The technology is designed to identify household objects, including cables, furniture and pet accessories, allowing the vacuum to adjust its cleaning route.

The device also includes dedicated cleaning settings for households with pets and young children, alongside app-based controls for cleaning preferences and floor mapping.

Its automated base station incorporates a 100°C self-cleaning cycle, detergent dispensing and hot-air drying. Narwal states that its 2.4-litre dust collection bag can support up to 120 days of operation before replacement, depending on usage.

Commenting on the product’s development, Narwal CEO Junbin Zhang said the company was focused on technology that simplifies household cleaning and reduces the time users spend on routine maintenance.

Both models use the company’s FlowWash technology, with the Freo 20 focused on track-based mopping and hot-water cleaning, while the Freo 20 Edge incorporates features intended to improve cleaning along walls and room boundaries.

The three models are positioned at different price points within Narwal’s regional product portfolio.

The Narwal Flow 2 has a recommended retail price of AED 5,499, with an announced in-store promotional price of AED 4,999.

The Freo 20 is priced at AED 4,099 under the current promotional offer, compared with its regular price of AED 4,499. The Freo 20 Edge is offered at AED 3,599, against a regular price of AED 3,999.

The products are available through Narwal’s Middle East website, Amazon and Noon, as well as UAE electronics retailers including Jumbo, Sharaf DG and Emax.

Retail distribution also covers shopping destinations including Dubai Mall, Mall of the Emirates, Dubai Hills Mall and Deira City Centre.

Following the initial launches in the UAE and Bahrain, Narwal expects to expand availability to Qatar, Oman and Kuwait in the coming weeks.

The regional introduction comes as Narwal continues to expand its international operations. According to the company, its products are used by more than six million customers across 30 countries.

The latest rollout adds three robot vacuum models to the GCC market, with a focus on automated floor maintenance, AI-assisted navigation and reduced manual cleaning requirements.
