Southern Charm’s Shep Teases Possible Taylor Reconciliation
Shep Rose is playing coy about his relationship with ex-girlfriend Taylor Ann Green after they pair reunited for season 12 of Southern Charm.
“Everything’s great,” Shep, 47, exclusively told Us on Monday, October 19, while promoting his partnership with State Farm for an immersive activation at Bravo Fan Fest in Charleston on Saturday, October 24. “We talked for 45 minutes yesterday on the phone.”
Shep revealed that he and Taylor, 32, discussed “a number of things” during their recent call, teasing how the exes got back in a good place after their 2022 split.
“She knows we both really appreciate each other, and we are laughing about the past, and I’m really happy at the moment with our relationship,” he gushed.

When asked whether there will be a “reconciliation” between the former couple, Shep had a big grin on his face, telling Us, “You’re going to have to find out, darling.”
Shep and Taylor dated for two years before they called it quits in 2022. After their breakup, Taylor remained on Southern Charm but her relationship with Shep became strained as they continually butted heads amid Taylor’s romance with Gaston Rojas, whom she started dating in 2023.
Following season 10 of the hit Bravo series in 2025, Taylor exited the series, while OG star Shep remained a main cast member.
Taylor confirmed her split from Gaston, 34, in June, and she was soon rumored to be hooking up with Shep again after they were seen filming Southern Charm that same month. (Taylor has claimed that Gaston cheated on her, which she said he’s denied. Shep, for his part, admitted to cheating on Taylor during their two-year relationship.)
Taylor, however, denied the allegations, revealing on a June episode of “The Viall Files” podcast, “I have seen the rumors that we’re getting back together or hooking up again or whatever, and that is not true. Even if I wanted to hook up with Shep again or get back together, I would hope I have a little bit more respect for myself to go from one cheating ex to the other.”

While Taylor hasn’t commented further on her connection with Shep, fans learned during the Southern Charm season 12 trailer, which dropped this month, that she texted her ex amid filming and their reunion was caught on cameras.
In the trailer, Shep is seen spending time with Taylor after meeting up at a restaurant. The duo are even spotted dancing while on a group trip to Maui, which costar Craig Conover revealed was worrisome.
“This is delusional,” Craig, 37, told Austen Kroll in the trailer about Shep’s actions. “You just told me you might marry Taylor, but you said you want to f*** every girl. I think he’s a lost f***ing soul.”
Shep, meanwhile, told Us on Monday that he was “shocked” to get a text from Taylor after not speaking to her for some time.
“It was a pretty big occurrence in my world. It just hit me like a ton of bricks,” he confessed. “And to hear from her, and then see her, and put a smile on her face, which I hadn’t had the opportunity to do in years [was nice].”
Shep noted that he and Taylor “were very much cut off from one another” before that text exchange and he was “sadly considering it just, ‘OK, I guess that sort of was a time that happened, and it’s erased sort of.’”

As someone who is friends with most of his exes, Shep said the lack of communication with Taylor bothered him.
“I’m a big believer in honoring the past and especially lovely relationships and good times,” he said, hinting at their newfound friendship.
While fans have to wait until the season 12 premiere to see what really happens between Shep and Taylor, they can meet some of the cast in Charleston on Saturday for Bravo Fan Fest.
The immersive experience includes a Shem-Creek State Farm booth, which Shep told Us is a replica of Shem Creek, one of his favorite hangout spots.
“There’s going to be an interactive video experience and you can see which cast member you are by taking a little test and you get a tote bag and all this stuff, so just a lot of fun,” he shared.
Southern Charm premieres on Bravo Thursday, November 12, at 9 p.m. ET. Stream new episodes the next day on Peacock.
