On Saturday, the various areas in the country experienced a range of rainfall, from light showers to heavy downpours, across different regions. The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) noted heavy rain in the Khatm Al Shiklah area of Al-Sa’a in Al Ain, with moderate to heavy rain reported in Malaqet and Umm Ghafa. In contrast, the Al Nabagh area saw light to moderate rain, while Al Dhahir observed light showers.
Moderate to heavy rain reported in Malaqet and Umm Ghafa.
Data from the Centre indicated that 7.8 mm of rain fell in Al-Sa’a between 4:00 PM and 5:00 PM, while a total of 0.2 mm was recorded from 4:00 PM to 6:42 PM, as per Saturday’s updates.
Looking ahead to Wednesday, the NCM predicts that weather conditions will range from clear to partly cloudy.
There is a possibility of convective clouds forming in some northern and eastern areas in the afternoon, potentially resulting in rainfall. Nights and mornings are expected to be humid, especially in coastal and inland regions, with a chance of fog or mist developing.
Winds will initially blow from the southeast, shifting to the northwest. They will be light to moderate but might become more active near cloud formations, possibly stirring up dust. Wind speeds are forecasted to range from 10 to 25 km/h, with possible peaks of up to 40 km/h. The sea is expected to remain calm in both the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.
