Robert Kelker-Kelly, former ‘Days of Our Lives’ star, dies at 62

Actor Robert Kelker-Kelly, known for his roles in “Days of Our Lives” and two other major soap operas, has died at age 62, according to reports.
The cause and manner of death have not yet been publicly reported, but TMZ was the first to report that a Missouri medical examiner had confirmed that Kelker-Kelly died on Oct. 3.
Variety and USA Today have also confirmed with police that Kelker-Kelly has died. The St. Peters Police Department in St. Charles County, Missouri, said it was called on Oct. 3 for an unconscious male who was having a medical event and had become unresponsive, the Variety report states. St. Peters, Missouri, is located outside of St. Louis. Both Variety and USA Today report that police said he experienced chest pains before becoming unresponsive.

Kelker-Kelly got his start in soap opera acting when he played Sam Fowler on “Another World” in 1987. He would also later go on to play Stavros Cassadine on “General Hospital.”
Kelker-Kelly was one of the actors to star as Bo Brady on “Days of Our Lives,” and his character was known for his steamy and dramatic relationships with Hope Williams Brady, played by Kristian Alfonso, and Billie Reed, played by Lisa Rinna. Kelker-Kelly took on the role of Bo in 1992 after Peter Reckell. Reckell originated the role in the early 1980s and then later returned as Bo Brady in 1995.
People and Entertainment Weekly both report that Kelker-Kelly was also a professional pilot.
He was married to actress Linda Rattner from 1988 to 1992. Then, from 1997 to 2013, he was married to “Days of Our Lives” costar Miriam Parrish, who played Jamie Caldwell. Both of the marriages ended in divorce, People reports.
