How to watch the ‘Survivor 51’ premiere for free
Survivor Season 51 premieres tonight, Wednesday, Sept. 23, at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT on CBS. CBS calls the new season the start of its “Open Era,” in which twists, idols and advantages from past seasons can return without warning. Tonight’s episode, “Permanent Uncertainty,” runs from 8 to 10 p.m. ET. The show moves to 90-minute episodes next week.
Those without a basic cable setup can still watch Wednesday night’s premiere live with Fubo, DirecTV or Paramount+ Premium. Fubo and DirecTV offer free trials for new subscribers, so viewers watch 1the premiere for free before committing to a paid plan. Paramount+ Premium does not currently advertise a standard U.S. free trial, but its monthly subscription costs less than the live TV alternatives after their trials end.
How can you watch the ‘Survivor’ premiere for free?
Fubo offers free trials on select plans that carry CBS. The trial length appears during signup. DirecTV offers a five-day free trial for new streaming customers, with local channels available in participating markets. Check that your local CBS station is included before selecting either service, and note when the trial ends if you do not want the subscription to renew.
A live TV trial may be worth trying if there are other shows you want to keep up with on channels that Paramount+ does not include. If you mainly want to watch Survivor, Paramount+ Premium is the simpler paid option: it includes a live stream of your local CBS station and costs $13.99 per month. The less expensive Paramount+ Essential plan does not include live local CBS, though subscribers can watch the premiere on demand the next day.
