Halloween cover shows at both Vino’s and White Water Tavern on Oct. 30

HALLOWEEN EVE COVER SHOWS
FRIDAY 10/30. White Water Tavern, Vino’s Brew Pub. 8 p.m. $15 each.

The spooky season tradition of bands dressing up as other bands — well, at least musically — remains as charming as ever. While it pains me to imagine you making this difficult decision, it’s my journalistic duty to let you know that two of Little Rock’s finest venues — the White Water Tavern and Vino’s Brew Pub — are simultaneously offering equally enticing bills of musical mimicry on Halloween Eve. At the White Water, you’ll find Little Rock metal band Coachlight taking on the stylings of Foreigner; power-pop extraordinaries The Easys (fronted, in rare form, by the angel-voiced Stephanie Smittle) masquerading as Blondie; and Pink Gators covering Roky Erickson. Down the road at Vino’s, a slew of classic heavy metal impersonators await you — Tripwire as Metallica, Vulgar Display as Pantera and Speed Queen as Black Sabbath — as well as H! VltG3, a Linkin Park cover band. Should you discover that choosing is simply too hard, best of luck managing the cinematically tropey shuffle between one location and the other. Get tickets at whitewatertavern.com and vinosbrewpub.com.
