Couple finds out they won huge scratch-off lottery prize – again!

Talk about a lucky break.
A Canadian couple won big on a lottery scratch-off in August, snagging the Atlantic Lottery’s Set for Life top prize of $675,000. But it’s not their first time winning big.
Angelina and Edward Lado, of St. John’s, Newfoundland, also won $2.5 million from another lottery scratch-off in 2018.
“I thought maybe she was bluffing when she told me; I really couldn’t believe it,” Edward Lado told the Atlantic Lottery. “I told her to calm down, and when I come home, we will see if it is for real.”
The couple chose the lump-sum winnings of $675,000; the lottery’s Set for Life scratch-off game also gives winners the option to receive $1,000 a week for 25 years.

The couple told the lottery that they plan to use some of their winnings to help their college-aged children pay for school.
Edward Lado said he hasn’t ruled out a third big win, either.
“We play, but modestly, especially now, but if you don’t play, you don’t win,” he said.
The scratch-off ticket they purchased cost $4.
He also said they plan to take their time with the win and don’t want to make any spur-of-the-moment decisions.
“We don’t want to rush into anything,” he said. “Taking our time is the best option, and things will fall into place as life progresses.”
