UAE airlines cancel Saudi flights on October 9 and 10 ami…



UAE airlines Etihad Airways, Emirates and flydubai have cancelled flights to several destinations in Saudi Arabia due to operational disruptions, with passengers advised to check their flight status and contact the carriers for rebooking or refund options.

Etihad Airways announced the cancellation of flights between Zayed International Airport in Abu Dhabi and King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh on October 9 and 10.

In an update on its website, the airline said the situation remained fluid and further changes to flight schedules were possible.

Etihad apologised for the inconvenience caused by the disruptions, adding that its teams were doing their utmost to assist affected passengers.

Emirates has also cancelled flights from Dubai to King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh on October 9 and 10, according to flight schedules published on the airline’s website. Operations on the route are scheduled to resume as normal from October 11.

Meanwhile, flydubai has cancelled flights to Riyadh and Yanbu until October 10, while flights to Abha have been cancelled until October 11.

A flydubai spokesperson said the airline was monitoring the situation closely and continuing to coordinate with the concerned authorities.

The airline said it would keep customers informed of any developments affecting flight schedules through its official channels.

Passengers whose travel plans have been affected by the cancellations can visit the Manage Booking section on flydubai’s website to check available options for refunds or rebooking, the spokesperson said.

Customers who booked their tickets through travel agents have been advised to contact their agents directly for assistance.

Flydubai also apologised to passengers for the inconvenience caused by the changes.

Passengers travelling to Saudi Arabia over the coming days are advised to check with their respective airlines for the latest flight updates before heading to the airport, as schedules may change depending on the operational situation.
