Donald Trump says US will win Iran war ‘very soon,’ in talks with mediators

US President Donald Trump told reporters that United States officials talked with mediators trying to end Washington’s war with Iran on Monday, adding the US will win the Iran war “very soon.”

“We’re going to win; as far as I’m concerned, it’s going to be one way or the other,” Trump said in the Oval Office. “It’s going to go pretty quickly.”

Trump also said that gas prices will come tumbling down after the US wins the war.

In the same Oval Office press conference, Trump said that he thinks a trade deal with Canada will be made because “Canada wants a deal.”

Touching on the apparent plot to attack an airbase used by the United States in Britain, the president told reporters that he would not have released the five suspects. All five were arrested and then released on bail following an alleged foiled bombing attempt at the UK’s RAF Fairford airbase.
