West Indies announces squad for India white-ball tour — Hope to lead, Jason Holder rested for the series
Shai Hope will lead West Indies’ squad for the upcoming white-ball series, including three ODIs and five T20Is, against India, CWI announced on Saturday.
West Indies has retained the core group of players in both formats but has rested Jason Holder for the series while Shimron Hetmyer will only be available for the T20I leg.
“Shimron Hetmyer, who featured in the last two matches of the New Zealand series, remains committed but has been permitted an extended recovery period post CPL and will join the squad for the T20 series,” Cricket West Indies said in a statement.
The squad will depart for India on September 21 and will land in Thiruvananthapuram where the first ODI will take place on September 27.
