Indians in County: Kuldeep’s Yorkshire beats Somerset, Unadkat stars in Sussex’s win over Mukesh’s Notts


Kuldeep Yadav’s Yorkshire beat Somerset by 185 runs in a County Championship Division one game on Friday. The spinner went wicketless in his three overs as Yorkshire bowled Somerset out for 101 on the final day to sit fifth in the table.

Elsewhere, seamer Auqib Nabi’s Surrey lost to Glamorgan by 184 runs in a Division 1 game. Chasing a mammoth 612 in the final innings, Nabi was dismissed for 10 as Surrey was bowled out for 427.

In another division 1 game, in a clash between Jaydev Unadkat and Mukesh Kumar, the veteran pacer’s Sussex emerged victorious against Mukesh’s Nottinghamshire. Unadkat returned with seven wickets in the game as Sussex won by seven wickets chasing 76.

Sai Kishore didn’t have any success with the ball on the final day and managed just eight off 33 balls to help Gloucestershire play out a draw against Middlesex in a Division 2 game.

Mayank Agarwal’s Durham played out a draw in a division two game against Worcestershire. Mayank had a memorable outing in the game, amassing 186 runs, which included a sublime 177 in the first innings.
