Severed Human Hand Costume on Red Carpet

Is it really Halloween without Heidi Klum?

The supermodel, who has become known for her over-the-top costumes, has returned for another year of her annual Halloween party, this time opting to dress as a realistic-looking severed human hand.

At last year’s party, Klum dressed as the mythological monster Medusa, which featured a headpiece decorated with writhing snakes and a trailing tail, while her husband, Tom Kaulitz, went as an ancient Greek soldier she had turned to stone. It ultimately took a team of 15 artists to create her costume, Klum told Variety at the 2025 event.

“There still needs to be people that create moments with real people … to me, it’s like a beautiful art,” she said. When asked about her elaborate look, she shared, “This is only good for the night. Tonight. Everything goes down the drain, so to speak, in the shower.”

This year’s celebration marked the 25th year of Klum’s Halloween party. Some of her past looks include notable characters such as E.T., Fiona from “Shrek,” Jessica Rabbit and the werewolf from Michael Jackson’s “Thriller,” as well as creatures like a peacock, worm and butterfly.

Earlier this year, Klum hosted the 22nd season of “Project Runway,” where she also served as a judge alongside Nina Garcia and Law Roach. Klum returned to the fashion competition series last year after previously exiting in 2018. Prior to her departure, she hosted the show for 16 seasons since its 2004 debut on Bravo.

Alongside Tim Gunn, Klum created a new fashion competition show titled “Making the Cut” for Prime Video in 2020, which ran for three seasons.
