Osaka Expo Site Sale Price Set at 92.1 Billion Yen

The Osaka prefectural and municipal governments said on September 14 that they have set a minimum sale price of 92.113 billion yen for the second-phase development area on Yumeshima, the site of the Osaka-Kansai Expo.
The governments are currently seeking businesses interested in developing the former Expo grounds. The 42-hectare site is equivalent in size to about 11 Koshien Stadiums.
The area is adjacent to the integrated resort already under development, and buyers will be required to establish an international tourism hub that includes entertainment facilities.
Osaka Prefecture and Osaka City said the minimum price was determined based on multiple real estate appraisals. Companies seeking to acquire the site will be required to submit bids of at least 92.113 billion yen.
The developer is scheduled to be selected in February 2027.
