Ron Robinson Theater screens ‘Planes, Trains, and Automobiles,’ ‘You’ve Got Mail’ and more in November
Of the two major American holidays that round out the year, Christmas far outpaces Thanksgiving in terms of how many films it has spawned. But movies set around Thanksgiving still exist!
Looking over the November lineup at CALS Ron Robinson Theater, it appears that at least two made the cut: “You’ve Got Mail” and “Planes, Trains, and Automobiles,” which turns 40 next year.
Also: “The Taste of Things,” a 2023 film concerning the relationship between a 19th-century gastronome and his personal chef that screens for free this month, has no explicit connection to Turkey Day, but its commitment to culinary decadence makes it a good fit for the holiday.
Other non-Thanksgiving highlights showing at Ron Robinson in November include “Goodfellas,” “Who Framed Roger Rabbit” and “Airplane!”
Tickets can be purchased here, and beer, wine and concessions will be sold on site. A full list of the November offerings:
