Why Daniella Karagach, Pasha Pashkov Are Absent on DWTS Tour
Daniella Karagach usweekly broke her silence about her and husband Pasha Pashkov‘s absence from the upcoming Dancing With the Stars tour.
“We’re probably going to be in and out,” she exclusively told Us on Tuesday, October 6. “We just want to take this time to truly just enjoy our family.”
Karagach, 33, noted that she and Pashkov, 40, “haven’t had a moment” to focus on themselves and their daughter, Nikita, 3, adding, “She has been on three tours. We haven’t had a break, and I think this is the time to just inhale each other and go for a vacation in December or something.”
Karagach didn’t rule out a smaller involvement on the 60-stop tour, however.
“[We could] pop in and out because I think we should do some of the stuff. That’d be fun,” she teased. “We’ll do a few weeks here and there.”
ABC announced on Tuesday that Dancing With the Stars: Live! 2027 will be taking place early next year. While Karagach and Pashkov aren’t part of the lineup, Brandon Armstrong, Rylee Arnold, Alan Bersten, Hailey Bills, Sharna Burgess, Val Chmerkovskiy, Jenna Johnson, Emma Slater, Ezra Sosa, Adele Zaikman and Britt Stewart are all expected to headline.
The Dancing With the Stars troupe — Kamri Peterson, Onye Stevenson, Jaxon Willard and Carter Williams — will also join the tour.
Karagach is currently focused on her partner Ezra Frech‘s success in season 35.
“It’s a roller-coaster. There’s emotions, and there’s ups and downs, and there’s challenges we face in rehearsal and challenges we face in life,” Frech, 21, told Us on Tuesday during the joint interview. “That’s part of the process. But having Dani as the therapist, the best friend, the coach and the all of the above is so valuable.”
He gushed: “I try to learn as much as I can from her and just absorb, absorb, absorb as much as possible because she’s so talented and so amazing at what she does. Anyone that says anything nice about my dancing, it’s only because of her.”
Their hard work paid off, with the pair being awarded a 24 out of 30 for their rumba to Mariah Carey‘s “Anytime You Need a Friend” during Tuesday’s episode.
“We have no expectation when it comes to scores. We don’t think about those things,” Karagach told Us. “We literally just try to think about devoting all our time and effort into the dance that we’re doing that week and that’s it. That’s all that’s in our heads. It’s not about the score. It’s not about the next week. It’s just about what we’re doing in the moment.”
Dancing With the Stars airs on ABC and Disney+ Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET.
